Full Groom

Our full grooming service is ideal for dogs that require regular coat trimming and styling.

Depending on your dog’s breed, coat and chosen finish, the service may include:

Clipping or hand-scissoring
Styling of the head, body, legs and feet
Hygiene trim where appropriate

We can provide practical shorter trims, longer teddy-bear styles and recognised breed-standard finishes.

The finished style will depend on your dog’s coat condition and what can be achieved safely and comfortably.

Shave-Down

A shave-down involves clipping the body and legs to a short, even length, with the head and face styled to suit the dog.

This can be a practical option for owners who prefer a shorter, easier-to-maintain style. It may also be recommended when a coat is heavily matted and cannot be safely brushed or combed out.

A shave-down does not mean that every dog will be clipped extremely short. The blade length will be discussed with you and selected according to the coat’s condition.

Scissored and Teddy Trims

Longer teddy trims usually involve clipping the body to a chosen length while shaping the legs, head and other areas by hand with scissors.

These styles require regular appointments and consistent brushing and combing at home. If the coat is tangled or matted, a shorter and more manageable style may be necessary.

Bath and Blow-Dry

Our bath and blow-dry service is suitable for dogs that do not need a haircut or require coat maintenance between full grooming appointments.

The service may include:

Bath using products suited to your dog
Thorough drying
Brushing and combing
Removal of loose coat

Puppy Introduction Groom

Our puppy appointments provide a gentle and positive introduction to professional grooming.

They are normally suitable from approximately 12 weeks of age, once your puppy has completed their vaccinations.

Depending on your puppy’s confidence, their appointment may include:

Careful drying
Brushing and combing
Nail trimming
Tidying around the face, feet and hygiene areas
An introduction to the grooming table and equipment
Coat-care advice for you to continue at home

Puppies attending their first introductory groom will receive a Puppy Welcome Pack and £10 credit towards their next full groom.

Grooming for Nervous Dogs

We understand that some dogs need additional time, patience and reassurance.

Appointments can be adapted to your dog’s confidence and previous experiences. This may include a slower introduction, regular breaks, a simplified first groom or shorter appointments while trust develops.

Please contact us before booking if your dog has previously struggled during grooming, dislikes particular parts of the process or has shown defensive behaviour.

Hand-Stripping

Hand-stripping is a traditional grooming method used to remove dead outer coat from suitable wire-coated breeds.

When carried out on an appropriate coat, hand-stripping can help maintain its natural texture and colour.

Not every wire coat is suitable for this service. Coat condition, previous clipping and your dog’s tolerance will need to be considered, so please contact us before booking.

De-Shedding

Our de-shedding service helps remove loose undercoat from shedding and double-coated breeds.

The service may include:

Bath using suitable professional products
Thorough drying
Removal of loose undercoat
Brushing and finishing
Nail trimming where appropriate

Regular de-shedding can help maintain the coat and reduce the amount of loose hair around your home. Double-coated dogs will not normally be clipped unless there is a genuine welfare or veterinary reason.

Nail Trimming

Standalone nail-trimming appointments are available for dogs that do not require another grooming service.

Regular nail maintenance supports comfortable movement and helps prevent nails from becoming overgrown. The amount that can be safely removed will depend on the position of the quick inside each nail.

Our special bath day offers a professional freshen-up for £28.

The service includes:

Bath
Blow-dry
Brush-through
Nail trim

Bath Day is available on selected dates and advance booking is required. Suitability may depend on your dog’s size, coat condition and grooming requirements.
